Hellfire Bluff Distillery
Hellfire Bluff Distillery is located on Tasmania’s rugged south-east coast, overlooking the rocky headland of Hellfire Bluff. More than 30 years ago, the Daly family hand-planted their first potato crop at Daly Farm. From this beginning, they became one of Tasmania’s leading potato producers and later followed their dream of creating unique spirits. In 2017, Hellfire Bluff Distillery was launched with its signature Potato Vodka, one of the few potato vodkas made in Australia.
This smooth and creamy spirit was recognised internationally, winning Best Australian Varietal Vodka at the World Vodka Awards in 2022.
Since then, the distillery has grown to include a wide range of premium spirits. The collection now features award-winning Tasmanian gins, liqueurs, spritzes and cool-climate rum. Each product is made in small batches with a focus on quality ingredients, pristine Tasmanian rainwater and local produce. Highlights include the Summer Floral Gin, which was named Australia’s Best Contemporary Gin at the 2021 World Gin Awards, along with popular liqueurs such as Sloe Gin, Coffee Liqueur, Salted Caramel Coffee Liqueur and Limoncello.
The distillery offers tastings at its on-site bar, open daily from 10 am to 4 pm. Visitors can sample the spirits, view the stills and learn about the family’s journey from farming to distilling. With more than 40 medals awarded nationally and internationally, including 17 gold, Hellfire Bluff Distillery has become a must-visit for spirit lovers who want to experience authentic Tasmanian flavours made with passion from paddock to bottle.
