Nocton Vineyard, established more than 20 years ago, is one of the largest producers of premium wine in Tasmania’s renowned Coal River Valley. Family owned and proudly Tasmanian, Nocton has built a reputation for elegant cool climate wines crafted with care, passion and a deep respect for the land.

The vineyard produces a wide range of varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, Gamay, Cabernet Franc, and Tasmania’s only Chenin Blanc. Guests can enjoy both Estate and Reserve wines, along with a gold medal-winning dessert wine, each reflecting the unique terroir and craftsmanship that defines Nocton.
At the heart of the vineyard is acclaimed winemaker Alain Rousseau, whose French heritage and Tasmanian expertise shape wines that are thoughtful, precise and expressive of place. Every bottle tells a story of the Coal River Valley’s rich dolerite soils, long sunshine hours and cool maritime breezes.
The cellar door, open daily from 10 am to 4 pm, offers complimentary guided tastings with stunning views across the vines and valley. Add a local cheese platter for the perfect Tasmanian experience.
